A community gathering to discuss dying. It’s going to happen so we may as well talk about it! Learn about what an End of Life Doula is and how much of an impact they can have during the dying process. Share stories and support each other over small bites, coffee, and tea. The only thing on the agenda is to come together and Get Real with life

Learn to be an End of Life Doula…for your family members, friends, community members, or for those you wish to become a paid caregiver for.
Participants will learn everything they need to know from the time someone gets a terminal diagnosis, all the way through creating a sacred space during the final hours of life. Based on the concept of families, friends, and community members providing support and care to others as they face the end of their lives, this course is full of practical, emotional and spiritual information that will empower everyone who takes it.
What you will learn:
- The 3 phases of End of Life Care
- Interventions to use in each phase for the patient’s optimal comfort and care
- Case studies using real end of life scenarios to demonstrate the training. This allows the family caregiving doula to reinforce the knowledge and apply it to real, bedside examples.
Information will be available for those interested in to the Practitioner Certification Training Course. This is for those who wish to create their own business as Certified End of Life Doulas.
Reflective Writing Workshops
Finding the Preciousness of Life
January 24 & 31 from 9-noon
Marggie will guide you to look deeply within and express your highest self through the written word. Meditation and reflective prompts from a variety of sources touch on the issues of generosity and patience, forgiveness of ourselves and others, finding compassion and love, and lead to defining our own legacy and purpose for our lives in a relaxed atmosphere. You will be encouraged to maintain a meditative quiet during the writing periods, with complete acceptance and reverence for others as we journey within and share with one another. Please bring a journal, pen, a light wrap, yoga mat and pillow, if you desire, for your writing comfort in place of table and chair (optional).
